Herpes Virus Found on Library Copies of 'Fifty Shades of Grey'

Two Belgian university professors recently decided to submit the 10 most borrowed books at the Antwerp library to bacteriology and toxicology tests.

Traces of cocaine were found on all 10 books. The traces were small enough that readers would not feel the effects, but significant enough that they could test positive for cocaine.

But the real case of life imitating art was revealed when the scientists discovered traces of the herpes virus in the pages of the erotic tale Fifty Shades of Grey.

In order to prevent a public panic, professors assured readers that the concentrations of the herpes virus were minimal and that the virus could not be contracted simply by touching the book.

They also suggested that books are for reading.

That's nasty. When I first got a Kindle, I was in a debate about why they didn't offer the use of checking out ebooks from the library. I was told I should just go to the library and check out the books. I said you never know what the hell is on those pages, you never know what people are doing when they read books. I wasn't even thinking about cocaine or herpes, I was thinking about coughing, and snot, and things like that.....but, again, all those who thought it was hilarious that I would "obsess" over something like that, were wrong. No thanks, you can keep your filthy paper library books, disgusting swine.

What is it with libraries and perverts? There were many times I had to respond to a pervert in the library when I worked campus security back in college.

It's all those little nooks and crannies you can hide in. Lots of self pleasuring going on along while reading. OMG Take the book home first.

That was my first thought. Sounds like a good ad campaign for Amazon, lol.
