Build more prisons
Increase the size of the police department
Weaponize the police
Increase spying
Offer to take in prisoners from other countries
Force the prison population to work for pennies on the dollar
By ramping up arrests, and putting all criminals in prison, we could drastically cut the evil in this society. By building more prisons, imprisoning more criminals, making the criminals work, and selling the goods to other countries we could decrease unemployment, the national debt, drug use, and violence on a scale never seen before.
By becoming an honest and profitable police state, we could succeed in what the USSR, North Korea, and Nazi Germany never could: becoming a perfect nation.

Like an actual police state? or a paranoid libertarians view of a police state?
A police force that isn't restricted by size. If prisons are overcrowded build more. If crime is abundant, hire more. If crimes are under the radar, get more covert ops. To keep cops honest, anyone killing or improperly imprisoning innocent people goes to jail for double the length of time. Oh, and no death penalty.
The Police State is here and here to stay and only get worse, as the economy flat lines.
No, a police state is not beneficial to the economy.
