Nah, everyone should gather around and cry and complain, demand they get paid the same as a rocket scientist. Demand that doctors get paid the same as the garbage man.

As for college, every time government subsidizes the price balloon where even people who could once afford it no longer can. Democrats believe in subsiding everything and it always ends up hurting more people than it helps. There is a balance, and subsidies knock that balance out.

The highest tax rate is substantially lower than it has been over the majority of the past 50 years.

The federal government has no control over your state taxes, sale taxes or property taxes.
lol, you really don't get it do you and you never will.

That's who was ahead of me yesterday.
When I saw the LoneStar card is when I actually looked to see what was in the cart.
And this was in a CVS drugstore.

The program needs to be audited because SNAP has far surpassed "basic necessities".
I'm sure there are plenty that use it for what it's supposed to be but there are also a lot that should not have it..not if this is what they are using it for.
All are things you can eat or drink. So that classifies as "basic necessities."

The truth is lefties can't manage or properly allocate resources. Need less lefties running public and private schools. But that won't happen as the left is dependent on brainwashing people with their mythology and propaganda to maintain or gain power, and the schools are a great place for that with young malleable minds in a captive setting.... If they taught the truth, they would never win another election.
Actually most public universities have been dealing with a decline in funding. The rest of your post just sounds like a rant from someone who has never gone to college and has a major resentment for people who have.

Do you think the beast would put itself out of business ?

If college loans dried up (except for pell) then people could only afford 1 or 2 classes a semester.
What do you think the college is going to do ? Close buildings and have mass firings and take huge cuts to their own salaries and/or face closure of their schools ?

See..you're afraid they will. I say they'll sit down and figure out how to lower tuition to get the students coming through the doors.

Supply and demand.

Government intervention with $$$ throws true supply and demand off.
That is exactly what would happen, and with that we would see a decrease in access to college and even more limited education within colleges. At that point you would basically see the public college system shut down and then we would be forced to rely on the private system leading us down the path of dumbing down America.

I would prefer to keep our public college system healthy, not treat it like an anorexic model.

Oh I know, it also explains a lot about people on the right who seem to think the wealthy are gonna somehow make them wealthy one day as long as they continue to eat the poop they are serving them.

Loans were created for college because the price was increasing beyond people's reach. Also, you seem to be the one whining about wanting to make more money, but then whining about the government taxing you for it.

BY choice, everyone who is rich can afford to go to college if they want to, also wealth doesn't equal intelligence.

I didn't say they can use it. I said it was being used. There is a difference. It would have helped if you read the link I provided.

What do fast food places do when a customer using SNAP claims to be homeless or disabled? Do they ask for proof? If there is good money to be made from accepting SNAP, why would a fast food operation turn away someone who is none of the above?
