Just think if the economy was steaming ahead and it was good then we wouldn't need to keep renewing unemployment benefits. Most times when someone got unemployment it was needed for 6 months.

Would you hire someone with the same qualifications and credentials, that has been out of work for a year & a half, or someone that lost their job yesterday.

If EVERYTHING was the same, the recent fire but eventing isn't always equal and one may be disrespectful and the other is fine.
