Significantly, the new growth includes a net migration INTO California from other states, reversing a decade-long trend.

So much for the "everybody is fleeing California" BS.
I get that...unfortunately, they can't pay for them.

California has been doing pretty damn good for a while now.

I'm surprised that it's news.

"Echoing the statewide trend, the bulk of the population growth in Los Angeles County was the result of births, instead of being driven by migration. Roughly 55,900 people were estimated to have moved to Los Angeles County from other countries, but nearly as many left the county for elsewhere in the U.S."
Didn't you know that CA is a separate country! At least that's the attitudes of the leaders of the state.

the part you quoted is about LA county, not the entire state.

you did exactly what you accused others of doing. #FAIL

Reread my post. 170,000 moved to CA from other countries. 103,000 left the state for other states. Net domestic migration was not mentioned. We know that as of 2010 net domestic migration was negative in CA and the article does not claim that aspect changed.

An example of #6.

I live in DuPage county, IL. I have a homeowner's association... local city government... Township government... County government... and state government. There's a forest preserve agency that duplicates many of local and county functions... the school districts don't follow city, township, or county lines and so are government agencies that often have voters spread among different cities / counties.
New York has a Republican Senate, New Jersey has a Republican Governor.

Ohio does indeed have one party rule, and it is all Republicans

Governor John Kasich The Senate (23 GOP to 10 Dems) and House ( 60 GOP to 39 Dems).

your entire argument is a fail.

#6 however makes no sense, what do you mean by a local city government and a township government ?

What two words do 4/5 of these states have in common? The first word is High and the second starts with a T and ends with X. There is a vowel in the middle and it is a popular word with our President.

How are any of those states shrinking, i thought all of them grew in population ?

I understand why that makes the OP wrong, but why does net domestic migration matter ?( there are multiple threads on this)
