CLEVELAND, Dec. 12 (UPI) -- A Cleveland woman said she was issued a $290 ticket for impeding the flow of traffic when she stopped her car so a passenger could assist an elderly couple.
Anaam Ighneim, 59, said she was driving with a friend the day before Thanksgiving when they saw an elderly man having difficulty helping an elderly woman get into a truck, WJW-TV, Cleveland, reported Thursday.
I think there needs to be more information, this is the only story on the subject.
From the story it seems like she stopped in the middle of the road, instead of spending a few seconds to move out of traffic, in order to help a couple that were off on the side and chat with them. If they were crossing, or in (or near) traffic that needed immediate help, her actions would be justified. In the article it sounds like they are on the side of the road getting into the vehicle and this woman stops in the middle of the street blocking everything instead of being considerate enough to pull off.
Granted, there needs to be more info...but from the sound of it she's completely clueless.
