REP. BOB GOODLATTE (R-VA): Professor Turley, the constitution, the system of separated powers is not simply about stopping one branch of government from usurping another. It's about protecting the liberty of Americans from the dangers of concentrated government power. How does the president's unilateral modification of act of Congress affect both the balance of power between the political branches and the liberty interests of the American people?
JONATHAN TURLEY: Thank you, Mr. Chairman. The danger is quite severe. The problem with what the president is doing is that he's not simply posing a danger to the constitutional system. He's becoming the very danger the Constitution was designed to avoid. That is the concentration of power in every single branch.
note: Turley is a Democrat and Obama supporter.

Actually, the problem is that most American citizens do not see the Constitutional problem.
Everything is geared towards who wins - right or left. It's no longer about America winning. It's no longer about Americans wanting all citizens to do their best.
Actually, the house opposition has no backbone but the Senate is complicit.
That is a much better assessment. Congress has the power of oversight of the Executive Branch. However, it requires both houses of Congress to do their job and uphold the US Constitution. The House is unwilling, and as you said, the Senate is complicit with the President.
The House has made efforts to hold the WH accountable, (fast & furious, IRS scandal, Benghazi) but the WH immediately screams partisan witch hunt, racism, phony scandal, etc. The media goes along and the low info/wrong info voters nod their heads and say 'uh huh.' This means that the house is limited by politics in what they can do.
How exactly is Obama a danger to the Constitution? What did he do?
Is it like when Reagan sold weapons to Nicaraguans? Or George Bush's warrantless wiretaps?
Reagan never sold weapons to Nicaraguans. It's more like Bush's warrantless wiretaps, except that Bush got Congress to sign off on that. Obama doesn't even bother with that step.
