With Obamacare in the headlights, any diversion will do.

Never mind a gov shut-down averted, or ANY-thing bipartisan in this era.

Yes. For Offensive wars to make them rich no less.

So, it is no surprise they would cut the useless fodder's benefits.

You would never see them go after the pay some CEO defense contractors are paid.

Actually both sides need to look at VA spending. Its set to go over 150 Billion dollars and shows no signs of letting up. Thanks to congress in a give a way mode a loophole has allowed vets to hide their assets and claim extra SS that they wouldnt ordinarily get. Burr and Wyden Seek to Strengthen VA

I was talking to the person who has FOX NEWS RULES under his name and is bashing another news source. Personally I think both MSNBC and FOX suck. So he really has no room to bash MSNBC when FOX does the same thing.

In the richest, most powerful nation on earth, Congress is balancing the budget on the backs of our bravest men and women. That’s simply inexcusable, and Republicans are overwhelmingly to blame. Even some of the staunchest conservatives agree. Of the cuts to veterans’ benefits, Erick Erickson, Editor-in-Chief of RedState.com, wrote: “Republicans are going to have to own this.”

Why do Republicans want to punish the men and women they sent to war?

Its the democrats who like to cut defense budget of which military pay is part. One only has to look at sequester and their making half the sequester cuts coming from altho no specific cuts named. Then look at where cuts were made under Clinton to balance the budget;military defense.I don't think any veteran does not understand where and who wants cuts made.MSMBC has a source is pure liberal media spin.

Here in Pa. we have an elected state representative who has gone so far as to call Iraq vets traitors.

Do you honestly believe that the Republicans are "waging a war" on any of those groups?

I feel sorry for you if you answer yes.

If you answer no, congratulations on being sane, but if you tone done the rhetoric we could have a better discussion.

We need to balance the budget. We need to make some cuts that will be painful to some groups of people. Accusing people of waging a war against someone anytime an adult makes a tough decision is counter productive to ever getting anything done. Because whenever an adult makes a tough decision someone like you will be there to be name calling and then we keep spending more and never make any cuts.

What would you choose to cut...I promise to not stoop to a petty level and accuse you of waging a war against what you would cut.
