Reading the stupidity of the premise of this thread is enough to makes one's eyes bleed. Where has any climate scientist ever stated that there will never again be snow or ice? You deniers don't even have the sense to be embarrassed by your juvenile anti-science blathering. Nothing new here though...

Broken Record: Fox Still Falsely Claiming That Snow Disproves Global Warming

During their recent coverage of winter storms, Fox News has repeatedly mocked former Vice President Al Gore and cited the cold and snowy weather to attempt to discredit global warming. Fox News and other right-wing media routinely use snow to cast doubt on global warming, and internal emails from Fox News' Washington bureau show that in the past Fox employees have been instructed to question climate science.

So fascinating that the denier crowd has no problems believing in talking snakes and a big guy in the sky designing the universe at his drafting table, but science? Perish the thought.

Great point brought up the other day was that conservatives are repulsed by any endeavor that takes a socially collective effort such as the tackling the problem of climate change. Also interesting that they never speak of the acidification of the ocean and how that is caused by human activities.

For stupidity maybe you should look in the mirror...

“Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become ‘a very rare and exciting event’. ‘Children just aren’t going to know what snow is’, he said.”

I realize no such thing. The facts are, we are still in the Quaternary ice age that began 2.5 million years ago ... we just happen to be currently enjoying an interglacial period which roughly occurs in 40,000 year cycles. Over this vast 2.5 Million year time, there have been several glacial and interglacial periods where ice sheets have expanded and contracted, with extended periofs of glaciation covering much of the earth, only to warm sufficiently to melt much of that away so that we could begin an interglacial period, allowing life to restore itself and flourish again ... and again, over and over, several times ... no SUV's and man made CO2 required.

First point ... what do you think happens in a glacial period? I tell you this, it makes your "50 years of clear cutting" look like my morning shave!!!

Secondly, you really are oblivious to how ridiculous you appear when claiming the industrial age is a "few hundred years old". How is anyone supposed to take seriously anything you say after saying that?

oh God this story gets better, after being rescued from their first ice-trapped ship by helicopter (not solar powered; hypocrites) and placed on a second ship....

Now that ship too may be stuck in ice.

BBC News - Antarctic rescue: Chinese vessel 'may now be stuck in ice'

Quote:
The Chinese ice-breaker that helped rescue passengers stranded on the Akademik Shokalskiy vessel in Antarctica may now itself be stuck.
Man, that global warming they had set out to prove is really quite evident.

Looks like he doesn't have much of a reputation among the majority of climate scientists. Seems like he's wrong a lot.

Even forgetting about climate change, it takes a total imbecile not to realize mankind cause hideous deadly smog, polluted streams that catch on fire, nuclear radiation poisoning from meltdowns of power plants, into the ocean, massive oil spills, great harm to living creatures of the ocean and land mammals as well. Garbage dumps across the nation and the world with less and less places to bury it. Deniers are selfish, self centered pigs that don't give a rats patootie about keeping the world from self imploding into a pile of our own muck.

This is reality, no matter how much you like it or not. This isn't a subtle point, or one that no one has addressed before, it's been around for many years. I don't see why anyone needs to waste more time on things you refuse to accept.
What hasn't been refuted is the fact that GLOBAL temperatures have remained stable for the past decade. The polar ice has formed more ice the past several years, and that is is being proven that scientist who believe in global warming are flakes.
