Chicago gun sale ban unconstitutional, judge rules
Published January 06, 2014 /
Associated Press
A federal judge on Monday overturned Chicago's ban on the sale and transfer of firearms, ruling that the city's ordinances aimed at reducing gun violence are unconstitutional.
U.S. District Judge Edmond E. Chang said in his ruling that while the government has a duty to protect its citizens, it's also obligated to protect constitutional rights, including the right to keep and bear arms for self-defense. However, Chang said he would temporarily stay the effects of his ruling, meaning the ordinances can stand while the city decides whether to appeal.
Speculation: Perhaps the problem is, that certain govt officials incomes will go way down, once they can no longer promise to "certain parties" they will have a monopoly on gun sales to people on the street?
I am sure the this will make Chicago a better place, one of the people that filed suit below. I am sure because they are careful with their sales all will follow suit.

going anywhere unless I know where they're going because I don't want to be
responsible for someone's death."
Well, this guy is an Obama appointee. I wonder what deflection the gun grabbers will come up with given that fact. I guess he was paid off by the Koch brothers.
The founding fathers were absolutely right in their drafting of the Bill of Rights...while Obama & his minions want to trip freedom away from the people.
