That is too awesome, hopefully it will be going next to the ten commandments.
I really don't care if the put up that satanic statue or not that is on their soul to bare but why do I get the feeling that some posters saying 'oh that is so cool looking" are getting off at sticking it to Christians?
Strip away the fact for a moment that the ten commandments are from the bible and associated with Christianity and the words them self make sense don't they? Shall not steal, shall not kill and such?
So what are the words of wisdom and values the satanists are offering besides the such "cool" looking statue?
Isn't interesting that it seems a majority of liberals seem to love idea of erecting a Satan(who personifies evil) monument.
It tells me a lot about liberals in general for who they really are.
Everything that is not Christian "personifies evil" in the minds of Christians.
I'm not sure whether Satanists are a "real" religion or not. Who am I to judge what a "real" religion is? Who are you to judge if their religion is "real?"
Actually, it is the IRS' job to judge what constitutes a "real" religion. After all, they are the ones that give out the tax breaks to religious institutions.

I think it is very likely there are at least a few individuals in Oklahoma that identify with Satanism.
I agree.

The leader of the Satanic temple is being rude and childish in the exact same way that the Westboro Baptist church is rude and childish. Prior to the offering this monument they performed a highly publicized act to turn a dead person gay. It was ridiculous and offensive in the exact same way that the Westboro Baptist church pulls ridiculous and offensive stunts.
It is kind of humorous that they targeted the head of the Westboro Baptist church's mother but it's still intentionally provocative and stupid. These people are in it for the publicity and shock value.
How is that any different than Mormons turning dead people Mormon? It doesn't matter if they're atheists or Protestants, they baptize people posthumously.
I think it's rude and childish.

I laughed so hard when I saw this. why are the kids gathering around Uncle Satan like he's going to tell them a story? but hey, if we (Christians) get to mix government and religion, why can't everyone else? personally, as a Christian, I don't want my faith to have anything to do with the government. I don't think we should have "In God We Trust" on money. God has nothing to do with money.

I think what most of us are saying is that you can either build monuments to all religions in tax payer funded areas or you can not have any monuments to any religions.
Yup, the amount of respect i lost for so many "liberal" on this thread is astonishing
Some also claim to be Christian......the irony of it all!
