~825ºC (1517ºF) - maximum temperature of hydrocarbon fires burning in the atmosphere without pressurization or pre-heating (premixed fuel and air - blue flame)

Diffuse flames burn far cooler.

Oxygen-starved diffuse flames are cooler yet.

The fires in the towers were diffuse -- well below 800ºC.

Their dark smoke showed they were oxygen-starved -- particularly in the South Tower."

and what color is burning plastic??? and rubber???

and what is most office stuff made of???

what is the insulation on all wiring???

the black smoke was due to burning plastic, vinyl and rubber

and steel loses ins strength and will BEND at 1000' f

Not true because there were no 757 planes when those building were constructed.
Nice try but there were even bigger Pan Am planes.

Got any links to how hot the fire was burning on WTC 7? How much hotter does it have to be burning to collapse a significantly bigger building in 7 hours as opposed to a hotel that didn't collapse at all in 24?

The WTC buildings were built to handle the force by which the planes were hit...according to one of the buildings engineers.
wtc7 structure WAS compromissed..as stated my ENGINEERS, firemen

an entire corner was MISSING...the entire fascia was torn off...there was UNCONTROLLED fires on nearly every floor....and NO WATER to fight it

Does the fascia of one corner typically carry the weight of an entire skyscraper?

its worth noting that most of the USA is ABOVE sealevel

saying a plane cant fly at sealevel is a misnomer

Sea level meaning a couple thousand feet above the ground.

Don't be coy.

Here is an e-mail from Chief Daniel Nigro

Regarding WTC 7: The long-awaited US Government NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) report on the collapse of WTC 7 is due to be published at the end of this year (although it has been delayed already a few times [ adding fuel to the conspiracy theorists fires!]). That report should explain the cause and mechanics of the collapse in great detail. Early on the afternoon of September 11th 2001, following the collapse of WTC 1 & 2, I feared a collapse of WTC 7 (as did many on my staff).

The reasons are as follows:

1. The collapse of WTC 1 damaged portions of the lower floors of WTC 7.

2. WTC 7, we knew, was built on a small number of large columns providing an open Atrium on the lower levels.

3. WTC was build over a ConEd substation

4. numerous fires on many floors of WTC 7 burned without sufficient water supply to attack them.

For these reasons I made the decision (without consulting the owner, the mayor or anyone else - as ranking fire officer, that decision was my responsibility) to clear a collapse zone surrounding the building and to stop all activity within that zone. Approximately three hours after that order was given, WTC 7 collapsed.

Conspiracy theories abound and I believe firmly that all of them are without merit.

Regards, Dan Nigro
Chief of Department FDNY (retired)

I want someone to show me a video of a Boeing 757 flying at an altitude under 2000 ft at 500 mph.

I'll concede my entire argument.
