You are free to believe whatever you like. I understand that I would never be able to change your mind, so I'm not going to try. I will say this, though - if you're content with believing lies, that's a flaw in your character, and yours alone. It says nothing about those you criticize.

I didn't criticize the Tea Party. I don't pay'em any mind myself.

My take is the same if the Republicans take control. In fact, that's been my long time dream to give Republicans total control of the country. I'm pretty confident that after a few years, it would end up relegating the Republican party to the trash heap for eternity.
Which also invariably leads to the dream totalitarian state the liberal/progressive seeks, which again gets us to the national reset.

No matter what happens, we are evolving towards totalitarianism as we must, and it really doesn't matter who is in charge since all they do is make slight variations in how fast we approach it. With Dems in charge across the board faster, I can get to the lulz a slight bit quicker is all.

A minority subset...not the majority subset. The word subset does not "less than" it means part of. The TP could be a subset and a majority within the set. It is not. So your need to point out they are the minority within the party[as I also did] has absolutly no bearing on my post. In fact that was the premiss of my post.

Hunter was a good show. But why does anyone care what an actor says?

Change "criticize" to "discuss" then. Sheesh... talk about nit picking...

And your opinion of the TEA Party movement has been made crystal clear on this forum, so your comment about not "paying them any mind" doesn't stand up to the facts. When I don't care about a topic, I don't discuss it. You won't see me entering discussions about SCUBA diving or basket weaving, for instance, because I don't have any interest in those things. You clearly do care about the TEA Party movement, as you can be found discussing it on a pretty regular basis.

WTF are you talking about? Did you even read my post?

I'll give you a do-over on this, because you clearly didn't understand what I said. Try reading it again, and if you don't understand why your reply didn't fit, then... do nothing, I guess. I'm not going to do the job that your 3rd grade teacher obviously failed at.

His thesis is naive, to say the least.

Which is one reason the tea Party was so successful in 2010. MANY repubs are tired of the "old" guard" and want newer younger blood.

IMO, it will continue in 2014.

I dont know how many of you are old enough to remember 1994, but much of the same thing was happening then. I watched moderate liberal Republicans at the Republican state caucus walk out en masse because the fired up energized Grass roots Conservatives were taking over and deciding the platform. All the same things were being said then that are being said now about the tea party movement. What it boils down to is being bold enough to stand on principle. 1994 was historic with the taking over the house for the first time in 40 years booting out a sitting speaker for only the second time in history and the following"Contract with America". It took Clintons far left agenda in his first 2 years to spur 1994, we will see if people have had enough of obamas....
