Hmmm... I don't think he's doing a lot of "ruling via executive order" here.
It doesn't seem like people even know what an EO is. They have just been told to be afraid of them, so here they are venting their fear for all to see.

Most executive orders are minor. Federal office supervisor appointments, dimensions of the flag, commemorations, decorations, and the like. Relatively few have been important, and more important orders are written in times of war or big economic instability.

Neither Bush nor Obama have written an extraordinary number of them. Truman, Eisenhower, Johnson, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, and Clinton all wrote more than either Bush or Obama.

The leader in EO's was FDR. He wrote over 3,000 in the 12 1/2 years he served. Teddy Roosevelt wrote over 1,000, and Woodrow Wilson wrote over 1,800.

The statement that President Obama rules only by Executive Order is a lie.

The Orders are, and have always been, only another tool for the Presidency, and all Presidents since George Washington have issued them. he issued 8.

There should probably be a politics quiz before being able to start a Politics thread.

Did you sleep through school or just wing it?

I don't get all worked up over EOs, but I don't think the point of these discussions is about the fact that he's using that mechanism, it's what he's trying to accomplish with it.

If a President is trying to bypass Congress and make changes to existing laws, that's a Bad Thing. I don't care who it is or what letter is next to his name.

When will the Supreme Court slap this guy down, and tell him "YOU can't DO that!"??
Actually, you may go ahead and thank Bush and Cheney for that.

A Democrat is issuing executive orders How dare he use constitutional power to issue them! Only Republicans are allowed to issue EOs

Yes, and the courts study them to make sure they do not go too far. An EO cannot be used to create law, and if it does that, then the courts strike them down. It happens all the time.
