well, let me tell you, they actually kill people, so, in order to keep them from boarding the ships/cruisers, and others small crafts....you've got to do something?

More guns for an already violent situation is NOT the solution!

Pirates Free Zone works if you use signs with large fonts. No self-respecting pirate would walk into a Pirates Free Zone, which is a proven fact by many Gun Free Zones in USA.

Ship owners don't want to pay for trained security staff, pay for the guns, or have the liability of the guns being misused. Would the US allow a Chinese cargo ship bristling with guns and cannon to dock in LA?

The owners want to but the insurance companies won't let them.
