First, only 51% of the people voted for Obama. Secondly, most likely a majority of the people who voted for Obama didn't really like Obama, they just preferred Obama to Romney. Thirdly, Obama has changed his position so many times during his presidency, its hard to even know what you voted for. And fourth, many of the things Obama has pushed through were never popular to begin with.

Just because barely over half of the people voted for Obama, doesn't mean he should be allowed to do anything he wants. Originally the president wasn't even supposed to be involved in legislating. That was the job of the legislature.

Lol! She didn't write that! It's got big words in it as well as complete sentences.
And President Obama writes what he reads from the teleprompter?

Ms. Palin needs to get over that and go read some books or magazines - so she'll have an answer in case anyone ever again asks her what she reads.

First of all it wasn't "books or magazines".

It was "newspapers and magazines".

I personally read no specific newspapers or magazines because I have a computer.

A liberal reads newspapers and magazines because they tend to outsource their thought process and assume everyone else does too.

Couric's question was stupid.

Since Palin was trying avoid telling her how stupid her question was in the age of the Internet, she attempted an answer and it wasn't a particularly good one.

The correct answer is "What retard still reads newspapers and magazines?"

Still waiting for that unedited transcript Katie.

Actually, during that particular interview Sarah Palin was still Governor of Alaska. Her staff read all of the States newspapers and magazines and provided Gov. Palin with a copy of any article that pertained to her or the State government. So, in effect, she read them all, but only when they pertained to her or the State government. And yes, it was a stupid question by Couric, but something we have come to expect from her. The woman is clearly several bricks short of a full load.

Why, yes, that would have been a great answer, especially in light of how absolutely incensed she gets whenever she hears the word "retard". She froths at the mouth and gets all "wee-wee'd" up.

That being said, when ISN'T she incensed and "wee-wee'd" up?

Not all of us voted for Obama. The President is not a dictator.

"We the people" decide who will represent us in Congress too. At present, Republicans control the House, and we aren't a small minority in the Senate.

Our system was established to prevent an imperial president (all powerful). And, let's not forget that the last election was somewhat of a "sqeaker," too (and we know for fact that there was much voter fraud involved to guarantee his re-election).

As to your comment about what she reads, I'm willing to bet that she reads far more than you do. She was set up by Couric with that question, and she knew it. It was a silly question besides. I wonder if anyone ever asked Couric what she reads.

Couric has basically no noteworthy credentials. She is a hack, and an air head, and a no-nothing. Palin is far more intelligent, even if you don't like her rural, "country" speaking style. For me, it is preferable than Barack Obama's phony gheto style, which he almost always slips into when he thinks it will gain him a few points.

And by the way, it is "Governor Palin," not simply "Ms. Palin." Your disrespect is noted.

If you even bothered to read her response (which I doubt you did), she was right on target, and apparently many others (including some disappointed "supporters") felt the same, judging by comments I have read.

Oh, so you are now a statistician?

If this is not by design, then it is out of sheer incompetence. If by design, he should be opposed by all available means. Either way, he should be impeached. That's not likely to happen, however.
How can someone be leading a country over a cliff and not be, at the very least, impeached over it?

He has been through an entire first term and still you can't get agreement on even if a cliff exists. Maybe you're just making $&#% up, perhaps? Or maybe the cliff will be entirely created as an overreaction by the conservative faction? Maybe it won't be a cliff. Maybe it will be just a long, annoying whine?

Get over yourselves.
