Their expenses aren't similar. From my first post:

"TN is a "right to work" state, wages are low compared to MD (roughly $12.50 an hour starting wage for manufacturing), TN has abated the state taxes for 10 years, a gift of $10MM up front and the property will be at a reduced/no cost."

Hey, don't tell me.

Income-wise I'm in the upper 20% (maybe less) and I'm not in manufacturing.

So that makes it even a smarter move on their behalf. I don't see the problem here.

My bad. I misunderstood you.

My point was in response to the OP who believes that the only reason they left MD was because of the gun laws.

What proof is there that they lowered the paid wage and/or even pay that low of a wage? I work in the manufacturing business, and while the starting rate of an unskilled assembly line worker or machine operator is usually around $11-$12, that rate increases annual or semiannual reviews. Most max out around $18 or so dollar + benefits + cost of living raises.

A reputable gunsmith around here commands a pretty penny, just to hire as an employee. $45 hr. minimum on the clock for a bossman.

If you have your own little shop, with all the Bridgeport mills and 5-axis Flowjets, you can command $100's an hour.

My bet is the majority of the major players in their manufacturing all got moving expenses paid.

It is silly how a product can be so demonised that it is driven out of a state by the moon bat do good left wingers.
Imagine if General Motors was shown the door due to their products that kill and maim more people than all the gun manufacturers put together.
Personally I would like to see some of these drug companies put out of business due to the side effects and the millions of people that are hooekd on their products.
Move with them, by moving to a lower cost of living by default you are making more money.

Plus Tennessee has lower taxes, and understands and respects the 2nd Amendment right of all person in their state.
