It seems an easy and effective way to keep people off the backs of government officials. Why would anyone want to rise up when they can lay back in a state of euphoria. I mean also legal pharmaceuticals as being a means to keep people sedated. I am particularly interested to know if anyone thinks the U.S. government is behind any drug business.

Paradox. If the civilians were on drugs to be sedated, numb and oblivious, then they wouldn't tell the world of how they are sedated and wouldn't revolt.

I suggest Beer, Booze, Superbowl and Faux Noise are sufficient.

You mean schools demanding that any kid with a little energy and courisity be drugged into a foot shuffling stupor with ritalin or adderall? Gee I can't think of any government schools that would do that.

And don't worry about the side effects of these drugs, the parents and society will have to deal with those later.

Why utilize pharmaceuticals, which would involve a massive cover-up and leave a trail of evidence, when instead you can placate the populace through consumerism and addiction to technology?

Since most of the boys being "treated" with drugs for ADHD were originally sent down that path by the female dominated public school system, you could say the answer is the US.
