I'm curious. The economy in most nations is in private hands, and those nations are mostly poor.
How on EARTH do you think most of the world is capitalist?

What kind of insanity is that? Do you have any idea what capitalism is?

( I suspect you have no clue)

Its a silly argument. Being in the top one percent in a world where the majority makes a dollar a day doesn't change the fact that we are still getting the raw side of the deal in terms of national income inequality.

Being in the lowest quadrant in the US still sucks.
Which is exactly why a lot of people work hard to get out of the bottom 25%.

Being progressive is extremist now? How far right has discourse in this country gone too where people literally believe that no capitalist countries are poor? Even true believer communists aren't THAT delusional about North Korea.

About 80% of the nations on Earth employ some form of capitalism. It's not really up for debate and I'm not sure why you're so angry about it.

There will eventually be another major shift of wealth from west to east, I'd say in the next century, but anything more specific is a wild guess. There's no telling what the political and economic climates will be, nor what events will happen to shape them.
I have a good feeling that China either sooner or later will have major civil disturbances. The angst from the inequality, one party rule, and corruption will spur political change.

congratulations. I've heard this idiotic argument too many times. You however don't live in the rest of the world, you live and work in the united states. Lets deal with that reality shall we? We're not world citizens. Once a one world government comes about we can get one currency and do what we can about worldwide inequality. Until then lets focus on our own country.
