It is a question that baffles many. Hillary Clinton was the golden girl of the democrat party in the 2008 election. She had been first lady, she had proposed universal healthcare under her husbands term as president and she was a senator from New York. But with all her alleged experience that she had that would make her president, according to democrats and the media, they decided to throw her under the bus for a inexperienced candidate who had zero executive experience making good policy, balancing budgets or even running a business. What was the true reason Hillary was thrown under the bus for a junior senator with zero executive experience?
It was to soon to go from Bush to Clinton to Bush...then back to Clinton. Hillary understood this. She has bade her time.
Oh come now, she fought tooth and nail in that primary. Obama came out of nowhere in Iowa and beat her out by not that much when the dust settled.
The main reason was that he's just a lot more likeable and charismatic.
It's nothing new, that's something Reagan and Bill Clinton had....heck even Bush II was folksy which helped him beat stiffs in 2000 and 2004.
It's the same reason that people that saw the Kennedy debate thought he won and those that heard it thought he lost. lol.
Frankly, that's Hillary's big problem in 2016. She's OLD and was never that likeable. She's going to be within a few years of the age McCain was when he was "old" back in 2008.
The typical voter is a moron. <shrug>
P.S. I seem to recall some unions were still peeved over her and Bills NAFTA support and went in favor of Obama.
Because the way she looked in pant suits On the serious side I remember George Stephonopolis saying before a series of primaries that if Obama was up by 100 delegates at the end he would cruise the rest of the way. And that is pretty much what took place and Obama had the wind on his back from that point on.
As Hillary would say what difference does it make now? If you watched the debates there was very little difference between her or Obama, two {D} peas same pod.

You are exactly right. You claim Obama had charisma, I claim people did not want another Clinton right after Bush II.
I could no more prove my contention than you proved yours by your post.
Hillary wasn't thrown under the bus. Obama's election team out campaigned Clinton's team. IMO the Clinton team assumed that she would not be significantly challenged, where as the Obama team from the beginning organized a 50 state campaign.
