Much ado about nothing, this whole monitor bit.

Hey brain surgeon, if you had a full-time job and health insurance you could afford and now have two part-time jobs and an Obamacare bronze plan with higher premiums and a $5K annual deductible, the so-called ACA has ended life as you knew it.

For those of you who didn't take notes, "monitor" equals "censor" and "censor" equals "China".

Well stated.

And to bring it full circle, "China" equals "North Korea".

The Obamabots can joke all they want about this topic, but the Blight House ALREADY does enough censoring to begin with. As others have stated before, this should concern you because when the other party gets into office, they'll know they can get away with murder, just like the Dems are now.

First thought was this had to be an Onion story. Just when you think that Obama can't come up with anything else to shock - he Doubles Down again. He wants the FCC to establish "Critical Information News" guidelines & criteria - that's translates to "news he wants to promote or repress". That's astounding.

The purpose of the CIN, according to the FCC, is to ferret out information from television and radio broadcasters about "the process by which stories are selected" and how often stations cover "critical information needs," along with "perceived station bias" and "perceived responsiveness to underserved populations."
How about -- it's none of Obama's business how a TV or Radio station selects stories to air. The Government does not have the right to make those determinations or to use the power of a Government Regulatory Agency to influence 'what' news will be covered.

Control of the media is how power is maintained in countries like China, Iran, North Korea, Russia, Syria, the United Sta...................no, wait. The FCC Commissioner are going to morph into Commissars. Maybe the FCC should be renamed (the initials can be kept): Federal Central Committee.

He has a long history of these goofy ideas to 'control' information. This is the worst yet.
The FCC Commissioner who exposed this was brave.

To intimidate.

Everything the left feared about the intrusion into our lives by Big Brother is being engaged in by Obama, and yet the vast majority are silent as a church mouse.

This is the first I read of this but if there is any truth to it they will see it backfire badly. The media might want to defend the government right now but they don't want the government watching over them in doing it.

We saw this when we learned that the government was eavesdropping on the media's phone calls. They may be fine with the government spying on others and telling them how to act but they are going to be far less so when it's them.

You forget about how insane these blind, liberal, political partisans can be. If these hacks think Obama will be on their side, and will only harm the Fox News Channel then they won't object to this at all. Remember, these are the same liberals who have no problem with any of Obama's executive overreach.

Does the study actually say that it will be used so the Government can control what news will be covered?

What are they trying to do, put Media Matters out of business? It's their job to to watch Fox News.

I'd offer them a piece of chocolate laxative cake from the green room.
