Seems the Georgia legislature has their priorities right in sync.

Heritiage my ass. It's a statement and anybody with half a brain knows exactly what that statement is. Who the hell do you think your kidding?

Sherman should have finished the job he started and totally destroyed the cesspool of loud, arrogant azzholes.
It sucks too because I have relatives that live in southern states, and I a lot of the time I think man get the heck out of these states that hate your guts, but these southern states are their home, but these states are so busy STILL trying to hurt black people, that they make their whole state poorer, more unhealthy, less educated, etc and so on.

Maybe you can find me a definition of core south beside just yours.

Either way, NY is sucking 3rd place and falling. Florida will pass NY within the next few years.
Funny how the states that are BARELY southern are always the ones most fanatically making a case about how "southern" they are. Texans and Virginians are always the worst...

Only a sliver of Texas can be considered the Antebellum South. The rest of Texas is more western in historical significance than southern.

LOL at people from Lubbock or Odessa talking about "southern heritage."

It's a "Battle Flag" from crying out loud! It's not even an official state flag of any state. A battle flag! When do you fly a battle flag? When you are in battle. There is no battle. Not unless you guys are picking a fight. I think it's more of a finger in the face of all the blacks in the state and a finger in the face of federal authority.
You say it doesn't mean to be offensive to blacks but black people on this board are telling you that it is offensive and what foul histories it brings to their minds.

You claim that To you, it is a proud brave expression of your past as translated by you. But to black people and those from the north is is an expression of human bondage, misery, death and destruction. A terrible threat to the entire nation.
So your symbol is an ugly truth.
And this is what you want to wave in the faces of the people. This is the symbolism you want, to represent who you are.

Talking about battles and battle flags, Sherman should have finished the job he started and totally destroyed the cesspool of loud, arrogant azzholes.
These guys don't seem to be bothered.

Harrier just asked a question.

Why don't you as an Arizonan try to answer it?

Are you opposed to the U.S. constitution?

I think a lot of people in the modern context refer to the south as the slave states.

The Mason Dixon Line
Texas and Virginia are both below the mason Dixon Line and were slave states that went to war over slavery. In that sense they are southern states.

They went to war in defense of state's rights and the security of private property, not slavery.

Harrier would have fought for the Union if he had been around in the early 1860's, but don't try to misstate the reason for the war.

The south was fighting for liberty and autonomy.

The north fought to preserve the union.

Both were right.
