I find it ironic how the right is so quickly to flock to the side of a former Soviet Communist and KGB agent, who is almost certainly trying to rebuild the old Soviet Empire.

Is Putin that against homosexuality, though (in contrast to the leaders of countries such as Saudi Arabia and/or Iran)? After all, AFAIK, he did support that obviously hateful and idiotic anti-gay law in Russia, but to be fair, this Russian anti-gay law is much milder than anti-gay laws in Saudi Arabia, in Iran, et cetera. Heck, this idiotic Russian anti-gay law does not even criminalize homosexuality and/or gay sex.

I find it amazing that the left considers "thug" a term of endearment.
Pssst...nobody on the right supports Putin.
Fact remains, he's playing a weak Obama like a fiddle.

This Reverend is a hypocrite and not following the Message, which is to love others. I disagree with homosexuality too but I hate how bigoted Russia is.

However gays are also hypocrites, they attack Russia for being bigots but completely ignore the Muslim countries which kill people who practice the lifestyle. Russia does not kill them. I think it's because it puts liberals in a tough spot, they want to appeal to both gays and Muslims despite the fact that these two groups could never get along in real life.

Do you 'disagree' with left-handedness too? Do you support trying to force left-handed people to use their right hands? Do you call left-handedness a sin and a sign of the devil? (Used to happen)

I don't think gay people in the US ignore what Muslim countries do to gay people at all, but they live in the US, not Muslim countries. In the US, it is far right-wing Christian fundamentalists and evangelicals who are overwhelmingly the biggest purveyors of vilification towards gay and lesbian people, not Muslims.
