President Barack Obama will sharply cut ships, aircraft, and troops as part of a major reduction of U.S. military forces that will face even steeper downsizing in 2016, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel announced on Monday.

The defense cuts, to be announced formally in the president’s budget proposal next month, would reduce U.S. ground forces to their lowest level since World War II

Good. It's a well needed change in defense policy.

We're going high tech. You don't need boots on the ground when you have drones.

Obama dealing with the school yard bully. Here's my lunch money.
Romney, bulks up and they will think twice. Peace through strength.

President Obama: This is my last election. After my election I have more flexibility.

President Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.
First bolded are the key words. You almost did a good job of taking that quote out of context except for the last part. Obama was talking about the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, something everybody except North Korea agrees is a really good idea. In that context the quote makes perfect sense.

As to the other parts, I understand many on the right believe that Obama wants to sell America out to any willing hostile power, but seriously Obama is not conspiring with the Russians to destroy America. Russia has been doing this kind of thing before Obama.

How much more strength do we need?

Stupid! Putin has not acted out of the ordinary. Besides what effect do the affairs of Russia have on America...NONE. So what would be the point of the further impoverishment of America through more military spending..........it would only further enrich a small elite and bring more economic and social misery to America.
