You have the right to your beliefs, as do we. The first amendment isn't being trampled on, save for maybe some crazy lunatics that said we don't need the first amendment any more.

People have the right to say their beliefs and to reject the beliefs of others. It is true that people say hypocritical things, too, that's human nature. It is due to the first amendment that we can call each other bigots
No they don't

Example: Paula Dean

So are you saying conservatives are in favor of polygamy, marrying of any age, and close relatives? Is this the new conservative, the new GOP?

No, but you mentioned laws that prevent certain people from getting married.

Laws are in place that prevent polygamy, "young" people, and close relatives from marrying.

if you are so concerned about laws that define marriage, why aren't you up in arms about those people being discriminated against?

Why aren't you seeing how you are so convinced that conservatives are the tolerant ones?

My favorite liberal asinine cutesy comment: "I have no tolerance for intolerance." Basically, you are claiming you are what you distain.

As a liberal, I am in favor of ABOLISHING the marriage institution and making things such as inheritances and benefits left to legal documentation and involved parties.

When it comes to that, it becomes majority rule, which is a different mess altogether.
