With People like Bernie Sanders preparing to run for President in 2016 , Do you see a Progressive Revolt within the Democratic Party coming ?

The Center and Liberal Left of the Democratic Party both seem to be firmly against People like Sanders and Warren taking charge of the Democratic Party, and have vocally pressed their opposition to them.

Elizabeth Warren, Liberals Hit Back Against Third Way After Economic Populist Attack

Im not asking if you like Progressives, Liberals, centrist, or even Democrats, but simply if you believe a Progressive movement has started or will start and if it will be influential ?

I personally believe myself to be a Liberal Democrat and to the right of people like Warren and Sanders, but i also believe that I am in the minority of my Party and that the Progressives have been the majority for quite some time now. While Liberals still maintain leadership within the party, it seems the silent majority of Progressives are starting to want their values and their candidates put center stage ?

Not a revolt per say but they are gaining power.
IMHO I think the Democratic party is moving further left.

Populism scares the bejesus out of the elite of the entire western world.

Victory of populism on the left or the right would stop their pillaging. They'll do whatever they can to stop it.

If Sanders were running against - say - Jeb Bush in 2016, I'd vote for Sanders and I'm a conservative.

But I guarantee you the elite will give the populist left the Tea Party treatment, so it's an impossible dream.

I actually agree with you, but i would like to add that the the country as a whole is moving that direction as well.

I am wondering if this is the start of a Ron Paul type movement within the Democrats, or maybe even the extent of a Tea Party.

Sounds like a stunt to contrast with Hillary.

The big $ plutocrats, not the people, determine who gets nominated.

They may claim to be moving left but they are the same corporate whores as the rest of D.C.

I disagree, I think the right has been moving further to the right while the left has been staying put.

I don't think so, the democrats have been moving left for decades and the republicans are following them.

So you have moved so far to the right that you think Republicans and Democrats are both moving towards the left. I guess when you have moved all the way to the right, everyone to the left of you must be a liberal.
