Link, what Texas statue states that you need parental consent to allow a visitor at night??

Proof? Otherwise your claims are BS. .

You really have no idea how laws in this country work, do you? Why exactly would he lose his rights to anything if he wasn't even indicted? People don't lose rights just because you disagree with them, no matter how much liberals wish things worked that way.

Are you from planet Krypton? Girls have been sneaking boys in since the beginning of time. If you don't like it then focus on raising your daughters better rather than shooting guys they snuck in...

How do you know what the kid assume and how does it matter in the court of law?

Time for bed. Thank you for the lively debate. Hopefully the date faces a fair jury and law is applied appropriately. He deserves to answer for his deeds. The teen did and now its the Dad's turn.

You made the original claim that he was an invited guest. Show the link that says a minor has that right.

In a homeowners house, the adult not the minor sets the rules.

And the daughter denied knowing the Boy.

I could see it if dear old dad walks in and his daughter is in the process of being raped and murdered. Deadly force might have then been the solution. Not knowing much about this story - I assume that dad might have been a little overly protective...What was wrong with the alternative..My mother once caught a guy that she did not like in my sister's bedroom...He was a long haired kid who thought he was John Lennon....I remember her swinging the little hippy around the living room by the hair...then tossing him out the door like a rag doll...

Thanks for posting. It seems that the question is can a minor give "effective consent"?

The girl lied and said she didn't know him --- and so he was just a total stranger in his daughter's bedroom at 2:30 am --- she made it seem he was a rapist -- there's nothing wrong with killing a rapist.
