Women need to be nurture that's what they need. I do believe if a woman can do the job they should receive equal pay.
They do. There is about a 2-3% wage differential that isn't explained by hours worked, experience, specialty, education, et al. The only explanation economists have come up with is personality traits, negotiating ability, and networking. There is a study that concluded that because women tend to cost more to insure, they would receive a lower wage, but somewhat comparable benefit package.
I'm liberal but I don't think equal pay is something that can be easily legislated. There really are two parties to wage negotiation. My personal experience isn't worth 1/100 of an actual economic analysis, but the women I've known have been more accepting of working at less-than-ideal jobs for longer durations than men.
It should be noted that Texas women make 82 cents for every dollar a man makes.
Now lets take into account time off to rear children, career choices, who takes more dangerous jobs that pay better, who typically takes overtime... etc.
So there the idiots go again, when will these asshats learn to quit kicking people then wonder why they lose elections?
Are you afraid of the truth? The numbers with the wide margins used to support this argument of a pay gap are averages that do not take into account the many variables some of which I have just pointed out. This gap is to be expected if you are using just an average, if the pay was equal men would have a legitimate complaint.
Texas is indeed worrysome. How long do you think it will take the GOP to realize that 51% of their (or anyone's) electorate is female???
Equal pay has been federal law since 1963.
Did you seriously not know that?
