Stay away from west and central Africa.

Doing so will protect you from Ebola.

Hopefully, treating the water by normal means should render it inactive.

BBC News - Canadian man in hospital tests negative for Ebola

Quote:
A Canadian man in hospital with symptoms of a haemorrhagic fever resembling Ebola has tested negative for the virus, a health official says.

Isolated in a critical condition in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan province, tests also cleared the man of Marburg virus, Lassa fever and Rift Valley fever.

His illness may be severe malaria, said the World Health Organization (WHO).
The article then states that there is no risk to the public due to this man.

The reasons why deadly pathogen outbreaks are so common in the third world is due to the complete lack of modern sanitation methods. The lack of education does not help either.
