The racial stereotypes in this post went toe to toe with the stupidity of many on this forum. But moving on.
How do you know if something is a gang sign, so you have a data base in the register to distinguish which tattoos are for gangs and which ones arent ? And if so, how can you be sure someone didnt just get a tattoo believing it is cool ?
Same goes for colors, how would you know? My closet and dresser drawers consist of 4 colors; White, black, red and blue. does that mean im in a gang by your standards or does it just mean im a simply person who buys Fruit of the Loom(which up until last year only sold those 4 colors in shirts and boxers) ?
Sorry about those stereotypes you are so sensitive about. I didn't create them, I just judge people by them.
Dude, we are debating a difference of opinions. No one has claimed to no everything, you are overrating.
I dont view this world in a negative light, but im also not stupid enough to believe in a perfect society. Innocent people get executed, crooks can become billionaires, and openly racist people can have patrons who keep them in business.
You just proved my point, you have no faith in the people in this country, so you have to keep outdated laws...that IS the liberal way. Instead of letting little Johnny fall down and hurt himself, so that he learns, you want to put him in a plastic bubble...let the free markets work and the libs would be able to stop whining about a whole lot.
Let's be honest, if we had used thing model against discrimination over the last 50 years he and his family would not have faced any consequences. I certainly can't say that's the same for mine. How long would business owners in the South refused to serve blacks if they weren't forced to by the Civil Rights Act?
Let us go back a bit farther than 50 years. Let us go back 400 years and universally enforce the right of association, this means no slavery or Jim Crow.
Why would you want to give a racist your hard earned money?
that is what the liberals tend to forget. these days most racist businesses are not going to last long. yes i know you have the odd duck scenario of black owned businesses in the inner city, and the white owned business in south dakota, which as a black population of what 6? the reality though is that businesses that are slammed as being racist or homophobic, generally lose a lot of business these days, and that hurts the bottom line. many go out of business.

Man, please...to hell with that.
White folks are so cavalier about this topic because they know they'll be served no matter what. They aren't going be discriminated against.
Screw that..if they serve you, then they'd damn sure better serve me and I mean pronto. And I want that exact same level of service or BETTER than you get.
you guys are typical of the socialist movement in this world. you think that everything has to be approved by the government, and that government regulation is the answer to every problem. and that is a false dichotomy. government is not the answer to our problems, because they ARE the problem.
Nonsense. Look this is very easy.
In order for a person to discriminate in their business, housing, or school, the government has to say that discrimination is legal.
There is no way around this fact. And if the government says racist or discriminatory behavior against certain groups is legal then the government has to enforce the rights of people to discriminate which means the government is racist and discriminatory.
There is no way around this basic reality. Therefore either a government chooses to make discrimination against certain groups legal or it doesn't. There is no in between. They figured that out in the 1960's.

I certainly have not seen any stats about that. Most of this stuff is pretty subtle, anyway. Oh, occasionally something makes the news, e.g. a baker refusing to make a wedding cake for a gay wedding or something, but generally, no. The person being discriminated against is maybe ignored, followed around the store, whatever, until s/he gives up trying to make a purchase. Stuff like that. The newsy stuff gets a lot of publicity for a while, and then it blows over. The subtle stuff gets passed over. The person "has an attitude" or whatever.

I walk in with my wife I may not get served.
