Right, cuz that's how it worked in the "Old South" that wasn't that long ago. Mm, hmm. NOT. There were plenty of businesses that did not serve blacks, in a part of the country that had more blacks by probably a factor of 10 than does South Dakota.

I already did. he said they had the right to do it, but that the free market would end up closing that business.

You are arguing a fallacy and it is completely childish. This is the whole " I didnt say the sky is blue, i just said it wasnt red." B.S.

That isn't what the title suggests nor what you previously stated.

Why are you moving the goalposts?

How does he know it wouldn't happen now? How do you? There's still plenty of racism out there.

Harrier would respond to this but he might violate Katiana's Rule.

That is exactly what i stated in the beginning, the only one moving the goal post is you, as i again, already pointed out.

You said he never claimed that businesses should be allowed to discriminate, you were wrong The very idea of freedom of association is free association, which includes discrimination.

No.

Harrier said that the lawmaker never said that businesses should be able to turn away African-Americans, and thus the thread title is a clear example of spin.

You argue that all those places, would close i doubt it, especially in communities that are 90%+ white.
Oh for God's sake. So you all want to keep outdated and unnecessary laws on the books because you have no faith that people can do the right thing? That explains so much about Dems, they think they know everything, and they view this world in a very negative light.
