It appears that Putin is acting like a megalomaniacal madman. He's massing Russian troops on Ukraine's border and it's clear as day he intends to invade and reabsorb Ukraine back into the Russian empire. What's next? Belarus? The Baltic States? Kazakhstan?

Is Putin actually capable of starting WW3 with his calculated attempt to put the Soviet Union back together again?

Frankly, I think that an invasion and takeover of Ukraine should prompt the USA to align with Canada and Central America to create an "iron curtain" in the western part of the Northern Hemisphere which, along with Europe should create a union of military and economic strength that would so dwarf Russia that even Putin joined with China as an ally would have to tremble at--unless he's playing the Israeli "Samson Option" and ready to launch nuclear missiles at the Allies if they dare get in his way.

Any thoughts on where we're headed if this is Putin's endgame?

Maybe President Obama should "take Putin out".

After all, liberals are always claiming that he killed Osama bin Laden.

Putin is popular in Russia -- his popularity is much higher than Obama's is here. What if the Russians decide to take Obama out? Since when do we assassinate foreign leaders?

In the past we just tended to fund political assassinations.

And yet Obama got elected twice by your people, go figure. Democracy, just another word for a rigged game.

America can do it, Russia can't. Invading and occupying is job 1.

OP should study the term 'blowback' and then come back and answer his own question.

O should study it too.

Who was the first world leader to call President Bush to offer sympathy after the trade towers came down? How soon we forget.
