Just ONE example...

Even smart people sometimes say dumb things, but what I was expecting is a prediction written in a peer reviewed journal by a climate scientist....Do you have any?

"But then the prediction's accuracy faded sharply: the dramatic warming expected after 2008 has yet to arrive (see 'Hazy view'). “It's fair to say that the real world warmed even less than our forecast suggested,” Smith says. “We don't really understand at the moment why that is.” "

Sometimes I believe people are blaming man made global warming on weather events that are not caused by this (overall ocean/land) 1.53 degree temperature increase.

But unfortunately the following sources agree with your observations.

"New England has already started to feel the effects of global climate change. Snow cover is decreasing and spring arrives earlier."

"Still, as global temperatures continue to rise — nine of the 10 warmest years on record have occurred since 2000 — the threat of a milder climate looms over the ski industry. In New England, the outlook is worse than in the West, climate researchers say, and independently owned resorts at lower elevations are at the greatest risk."

When I was growing up in the 60's I remember the liberal hippies of those days were for total free speech, free love, anti government, anti rules, anti establishment...what the hell happened to you people how did you become such fascists?

How did the left become fascists? Sorry to break this to you, but fascists are on the left by definition.

Just the opposite, but that is beyond the scope of this topic. Fascism is based in nationalism.

Sorry, but you're wrong, but that's unsurprising.

The left of the political spectrum is focused on a centralized government, under which fascism falls.

Both extremes have authoritarianism. The problem is that people don't understand that ideas of politics exist outside of the American right-left context.

No, you're wrong, but thanks. Authoritarianism is on the left of the spectrum.

By the way, the reason this guy is so confused about things is because he was educated to think that everything is "equal." So the way things are taught in high schools is generally "well, the left had Stalin and Mao, but the right had Hitler." Wrong. The left had all three. Sorry if that makes people cry.

The right side of the political spectrum is anarchy, libertarianism, and conservatism.

The left side of the political spectrum is dictatorship, totalitarianism, fascism, and liberalism.
