It is well documented, but doesn't sound like it is well known, that areas with high gun ownership are the safest areas in the nation.
People in those areas can sleep peacefully, with the windows open and the doors unlocked.
The people in those areas are more friendly and neighborly.
The people in these areas tend to be more self sufficient and low poverty rates.
In these areas you act big and bad on the athletic field and not in some gang, to feel wanted.

That is in conflict with the facts, Alabama, Alaska and Tennessee have high rates of violent crime and high rate of gun ownership. There are many factors why states have violent crimes, social factors, poverty, population density.

Poor people combined with alcohol, don't need a gun to be violent.

If that was a bunch of drivel, Baltimore and DC wouldn't be such holes for crime now, would it?

I live in NJ , we are the top in strict gun laws.. I think we are ranked 3 or 4th for the most strict laws. Tell me why Camden, NJ used to be the #1 worst city in the USA? Its still in the top 10 along with many other dangerous areas.

Please tell me why criminals are allowed to walk around the streets armed in NJ to kill and rape innocent people that can not arm themselves ?

NJ has a legal CCW but no law abiding citizen is allowed one because some Judge that has a thumb up his ass thinks only cops and armed service(s) men/women are only allowed a CCW permit. A citizen has to provide some proof to make it deemed justifiable in anothers eyes to get a CCW permit. That sounds like a tyranny to me.

Civil rights include the ensuring of peoples' physical and mental integrity, life and safety; protection from discrimination on grounds such as race, gender, national origin, colour, sexual orientation, ethnicity, religion, or disability; and individual rights such as privacy, the freedoms of thought and conscience, speech and expression, religion, the press, assembly and movement.

Political rights include natural justice (procedural fairness) in law, such as the rights of the accused, including the right to a fair trial; due process; the right to seek redress or a legal remedy; and rights of participation in civil society and politics such as freedom of association, the right to assemble, the right to petition, the right of self-defense, and the right to vote.

See in NJ, we the people dont have these rights to obtain a CCW permit in a judges eyes, even tho it is legal but the judge has no problem allowing an armed entity to obtain this even after retirement. That violate a lot of civil rights.

'Obama admin pick for surgeon general: "Guns are a health care issue." '

If the great liberal slippery slope demands that inatimate objects be treated as health issues, then cars should be the main focus of attention along with needles and syringes.

Newark NJ, dem controlled since the 40s except for one independant adim is the site of what used to be a 'murder a month' since the 60s and now it has far surpassed that horrible record despite claims by its former mayor, now senator, that he took guns off the street to make Newak safer.

Strict gun laws only work when someone 'buys' a subscription. Obviously NJ gun laws are not directed or intended to reduce violent crime. They are intended to reduce the ownership of firearms by law abiding citizens by declaring them felons with passage of new laws and persecuting and prosecuting them for administrative gun law violations which in turn make everyone run scared and whose net effect is to reduce the proliferation of prospective gun owners.

And so it goes with the most anti-gun administration in history. Pres Obama is on record as supporting a ban on all semi-auto guns, which would include grandma's nightstand Colt .32 and grandpa's Browning 30.06 hunting rifle. along with my Glock 19 9mm which I once used to thwart an armed robber.

Joe Biden claimed that the "assault weapon" ban of 1994 was his brainchild. Atty Gen Eric Holder said that we need to "brainwash" people into accepting gun bans. First term Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel was Bill Clinton's point man on gun control. Even Education Sec'y Arne Duncan has a strong track record as a gun control advocate:
Arne Duncan On Gun Control: 'More Needs To Be Done'

Yet one after another Dem gun owner will go into denial about this. Lamb to the slaughter...
This seems to be the litmus test that Obama uses for every nomination or appointment:

  • Do you want to repeal the second amendment to the US Constitution?
  • Do you think 90% of white people are racist bigots?
  • Is human-induced CO2 causing catastrophic global warming?
  • Do you believe to the purpose of the federal government is to limit and control individual freedoms and liberties?
  • Will you use your power and position in government, to punish your political and ideological enemies, and reward your friends?
  • Are you a statist?
