Go figure. I've just gotta wonder how this went under the radar on C-D P&OC since NOTHING in the news seems to escape many of you.

In any case, this went pretty bad. But this is the real shocker that i found on another link:

Quote:
Despite its origins and family-friendly activities, VEISHEA has a history of “ugly” incidents, Leath said. There were riots in 1988, 1992, 1999 and 2004, a man was stabbed to death on a fraternity house lawn during VEISHEA in 1997, and the event was canceled in 2005.
Hmmmm....

Makes you wonder. Anyway, here's the main link with video:

Why did the students become vandals while showcasing the highlights of their campus? What's the matter with them?

18 - 20 year olds + beer = riots. Always has, always will. Reasons are optional.

It happened over fly over country. Had it happened in Boston or NYC, it would have been covered better.

So..no threads about the Iowa State University riot, huh?

Change that title to - So..no threads about the Tran-sexual Iowa State University riot, huh? and you'd have a thousand replies by now.

Yawn.

Iowa only matters every 4 years in January.

And even that should be changed so other states have an earlier say in the primary process.
