Conservatives, Liberals, or politicians of any stripe have nothing to do with the price of international oil or domestic gasoline. The international crude price is set by the International Petroleum Cartel at a level that maximizes profit without encouraging alternative energy sources. The price of oil has been far too important to be set at the whims of a Free Market. This has been true since the Standard Oil Cartel was established in the 1800's.
The price for oil is based on the US Dollar, so as long as the US government keep borrowing, printing, going into more debt and our economy stays in the dirt, the less faith and trust the world has in the US Dollar.

How many times do we have to go through this
A minimum wage employee probably has to work 1-2 days to fill up their tank..

Its not cheap
Gasoline adjusted for inflation is pretty much the same price it's been for the last 50 years. The fact that a minimum wage employee cannot afford a tank of gas is a separate issue.
Many of us dont have public transporation as an option..
yes, we've been through this before, but you keep ignoring the obvious
Moving is an option. Especially if survival is at stake.
