The price for oil is based on the US Dollar, so as long as the US government keep borrowing, printing, going into more debt and our economy stays in the dirt, the less faith and trust the world has in the US Dollar.

As long as gasoline is under $5.00 per gallon it is dirt cheap and cheaper than almost everywhere else in the world. If you can't deal with that, get a more efficient car, drive less and move closer to work.

How many times do we have to go through this

This partisan bickering over the rising price of gasoline has been quite entertaining.

A sitting President can no more substantially affect the price of gasoline than he can affect where the sun rises everyday. The gasoline equation has too many too many variables.

Bacon Prices Putting a Squeeze on Your Purse?

A government report shows food prices jumped last month and there's concern the trend may continue. That, coupled with rising gas prices, is forcing many families to find new ways to stretch their budget.
It's gonna be especially tough on those with fixed incomes, many of whom are already scrimping to make ends meet. We know major climate problems are part of the problem that no human can control. But, the price of fuels?

Think about it.

Why is someone who lives on a fixed income driving? That's what you should be asking. They should be living near public transportation.

Gasoline adjusted for inflation is pretty much the same price it's been for the last 50 years. The fact that a minimum wage employee cannot afford a tank of gas is a separate issue.

Moving is an option. Especially if survival is at stake.
