Lately, Texas LEOs prove you don't have to be a criminal to be treated like one.

Forget the prisoners for a second. Who the hell agrees to work in these conditions?
You do have to wonder how they keep guards/ other workers.
But since they obviously do why is it a concern for the inmates?

I tried to feel a little compassion for the convicts, but then I thought about all the compassion those same convicts had for their victims. WE have people in this country truly deserving of compassion and who need our help a lot more than the scum behind bars.

The OP obviously doesn't know anything about pigs. The reason there are sticter rules on pigs, is the simple reason that pigs can't tolerate hot weather as well as human's do. The pigs can't take near the heat that a human being can. That's part of the reason they roll in the mud. It keeps them cool. People have lived in Texas for hundreds of years without AC. What a non-issue. Some people will try anything to bash people they hate.

Do you wanna live in a third world country or not. We're not supposed to cook our prisoners in this country.
There are honest, working people that can't afford air conditioning. I know you may not comprehend this, but there are actually people that WORK in such "horrible" conditions. Why should we treat our most vile criminal element better than the public at large?

Being uncomfortable might just be a deterrent to crime. Don't like conditions in the prisons? Don't do something that gets you put there.

Liberals should be allowed to pool their money and buy and pay for the upkeep of air conditioners --- until they do that, they don't have much to say.

Do you have any idea of how many crimes OTHER than violent crimes there are that can easily land you in prison? Especially in a "lockem up state" like Texas? Do you?

It ain't as hard as you think to end up in prison.

And of course, you are very knowledgeable about this, because you live in Detroit?
