I was so annoyed a week or so ago while listening to Limbaugh, it was a guest host that day. basically the mantra of that days program was the importance of voting for the most conservative candidate that could win.
OK, so in the last local mayoral election we had:
A national party give orders to the county party to make sure only their hand picked candidate won the primary.
He is gay
And had a husband
Is known for being fiscally irresponsible
Claims to be pro-business but has some big labor connections
Was wishy washy on issues.
or
You could vote for the democrat, who as the first dem to hold this office in 36 years, proceeded to create one of the biggest scandals in decades, costing the city millions, and resigned in discrace in 11 months.
Or, you can move to an area that supports whatever your beliefs are represented.
We can take steps that open the election process up and make it more congenial to third or multiple parties. We're not stuck with what we have.
Let's think about having 3 major parties. Do you really think ANYONE would get ANYTHING of major concern would get anything passed? A majority, in some cases a 2/3 majority, is required. Do you think that is possible with 3 parties?
"recent SCOTUS decisions". I could say the same thing about decisions handed down years ago.
Look up the history of when FDR "packed" the court and turned America from a State controlled country into a fed controlled country.
A liberal or conservative court is one thing. Big and secret politically directed money another. At least the unbalanced courts serve the purposes for 1/2 the country at a time. Not necessarily so the big money. They serve their own purpose.
This system is ridiculous. Nothing fair. No integrity. Apathy is taking hold of what was left of people with integrity in the middle working class. Sad.

Because most socialist and communist dont call themselves Democrats.
