just a question. have you ever seen a poor person make a good financial decision/investment? do you think it's simply a coincidence that poor people who win the lottery often end up broke again? or are you just for taking wealth from the individuals, and giving it to the government for them to distribute for their own agendas? we all know government makes great investments. what is the end game of higher wages and "income equality?"
the same thing that happens to most big pot lottery winners and sports figures that fall into fortunes.
then we'd be on a treadmill to keep redistributing the wealth, time after time, after time.
survival of the fittest huh ? what you don't see is that some people earn billions a year and just don't deserve that much (who does really ?) and some work their ass off but end up homeless because they lost their job for whatever reason and were in debt for whatever reason
redistributing wealth is not great but it helps some people pay the bills for some time and get a second chance at life
I don't earn billions a year but it didn't stop these people from attacking and going after people like me. Remember, when you attack people and take from them you won't get much sympathy.
When people work hard to earn money only to have it taken away to "give" to others, what is to stop them from saying, I'll just quit and have money re-distributed to me.
Does "redistribute the wealth" means taxes? Is the OP saying people shouldn't pay taxes because it is redistributed?
No, he is saying that although taxes need to be paid but when you depend on half the population to pay for everything and the non-paying half is getting free money but wants more, it's immoral and a problem. If everyone had the same attitude as the non-paying half then no one would be paying taxes.

So we need to go after those that don't pay taxes, like old people, students, young people in college, disabled people, and military?
I believe that some poor people would do well if they were given money. They are the ones through no fault of their own that have gotten the short end of the economic stick. But there are others that no amount of free money would help. They make poor decisions personally and economically. But do I believe in redistribution of wealth and equality of outcome for all? No. It doesn't work that way.
