Another reason why the owners won't force Sterling to sell.
They will. I will be surprised if they dont. Unless they can keep who votes for what secret or be nearly unanimous. Because if there are a few who dont vote him out and their names are known, the media will go crazy and those owners will probably be bashed and destroyed.
As far as what Cuban said, he is right. Anyone bashing him is just a damn fool.
I am a 6'5 black man and I would also cross on the other side of the street if I see a black guy with a hoodie on his head at night
Who wouldn't??? Or a couple skinhead walking along. Hell Skinheads or the KKK whatever they are called now would beat anybody they didn't like if they felt like it. These folks who say oh I'd just walk along and "see what happens" are just lying.

Well anybody who doesn't vote against him going will be attacked by the "mob". Same bullies they claime to save us all from.
I agree with Mark Cuban too. When walking at night, I'm leery of any kids no matter the color that wear hoodies that cover their faces, even more so if they're covered in tattoos on the face down to their feet. People have a choice in the way that they dress and present themselves to the world at large. If they choose to present themselves as freaks, then they shouldn't be surprised that might receive different treatment. Most likely, they probably don't really care.

Yes and people have a choice of who they want to avoid without being critiqued as being some racist. What are you supposed to do just walk up and get beat? I used to be a punk way back in the day and folks would avoid my "crew" too. I never took it personal. I ran with some big boys and I wasn't some little guy either but cmon you see a pack of four or five guys heading your way you go the other way unless your not smart. No reason to even take a chance unless your packing. Back then not many were. The ones you knew were you steered clear or were very nice too. Smaller towns and all. Steer clear...........of anybody who looks like a punk.

What's a "freak"? This is all perception. You're in West Hollywood, right? My goodness, to avoid the "freaks" you'd have to lock yourself in the basement. There's no way living in L.A. you don't have a higher comfort level around non-conformists especially in West Hollywood (or Venice Beach for that matter).
That brings me to Cuban's words:
"I know I'm bigoted in a lot of different ways. If I see a black kid in a hoodie and it's late at night, I'm walking to the other side of the street. And if on that side of the street, there’s a guy that has tattoos all over his face--white guy, bald head, tattoos everywhere--I'm walking back to the other side of the street"
****
When was the last time Cuban walked down the street though? I'm guessing a few decades. His wealth has insulated him from being a regular guy who would have to walk down a street late at night without maximum protection.
I think the bigger story is him using this scenario as an example. Maybe he was recalling back to before he became wealthy but it just strikes me as odd that he would use this paradigm as an example.
no matter how you slice it what Cuban said was bad.
He is assuming a black person with a hoodie on is a bad person and that people with tattoos on their face are bad people.
Why was it bad, quite honestly he spoke the truth. This is truly how many feel....sad but true.
