That's exactly right. When they actually do something, I'll be in a position to evaluate them. As it stands, the "Tea Party" is nothing more than a fragmented idea, not a legitimate political party with a defined platform. A convenient way for Republicans to say "I'm not a RINO, I'm not a Neo-con, I'm with the Tea Party"!
Well, they did fill the House seats with Republicans in 2012. They haven't done much since because of the Obama-appointed IRS audits, though.

Let me be clear here, tho. I wasn't speaking strictly about the Federal government. I'm talking about taxes from government at any level.
As to your second paragraph, you apparently haven't met many in the middle class. Virtually everything we do is taxed in some way. I don't know if you're in the middle class or not, but think about it for a moment. You'll likely be shocked at how much of your own income is going to pay for taxes and fees; all from government.
High is relative to the individual and to the circumstances. Based on your post; You dont care how high they have been in the past, you are arguing that they are still higher than they should be. I see that.
I just think that if you put it into perspective of history, they are low.
I have met plenty of people in the middle class, none of them pay 50% in taxes, not even close.
I love how their adherents say 'it's not a political party' when they lose...you didn't hear that so much when they were cheering for Rubio and Cruz two years ago.

Really? Tea Party supporters were cheering about being a political party? When did that happen?
Liberals Hate the Tea Party for being: Let the drums roll!
1. Smaller Gov.
Right size gov and eliminate redundant departments , like Gov. Scott R of Florida.
2. Strong Defense.
Must protect our interest and Boarders.
3. Balance Budget.
Who can argue with hat.
4. Enforce Current Immigration Laws.
Obama has rewarded Illegal Aliens with the Dreamers Presidential Order. Punishes and sue Arizona for AZ
5. Enforce the Boarder
too many holes and decisions are based on Political choices. About 66 million loops holes!
6 .Follow the US Constitution
Simple to the point. The Founders made the Constitution with the future in mind. Its Liberals who wish to rewrite our founding Document.
7 .Lower Taxes
My tax bill keeps on going up and the deduction that we enjoyed as middle America has gone away. Many business owners pay more taxes in stead of being incentivized business to grow.
8. Against Obama Care
Failed Policy that has been forced on America. the end result is th tax payers will have to bailout the insurance companies.
9. Term Limits.
No elected official should serve than8 years consecutively with out taking a 2 year break before he or she returns to office. If elected.
10 Tort Reform: Lawyers have a mockery of Medicine and the everyday frivolous lawsuits that we see from Law suits from cheesy lawyers. From hot coffee to mal practice.
Just to start things Off
I sure our Socialist Liberals will throw a few names as well. what can the reader expect!
My point is that your previous comment is quite ignorant to say the least. The Tea Party isn't a political party and it was never intended to be one. The Tea Party will never "actually do something" as you talked about because it's not what you believe it is. Are you even mentally capable of understanding that it was never intended to have a defined platform?

You're no better than the rest of the ignorant Tea Party haters, you desperately want it to be something it's not so you can bash it more. You guys sound like fools.
So what are the results? Smaller government? Lower taxes? Secure border? Anything?
Dem's still control the Senate and the White House. But the Republican control Senate has pass bill after bill and Reid will never let hit the Senate Floor.
That's the Problem.
