I stated what tort reform is as simply and clearly as possible.

But anything that doesn't toe the Rightwing party line is anathema to poor old kidkaos.

We're supposed to move elsewhere? That's funny, because the only way you got your laws was by not moving elsewhere. So when the law isn't what you want it to be, you're free to agitate for changes, but when the law is what you want it to be, then we're supposed to either accept it or leave? What a hypocrite.

The "Tea Party" is just a wholly-owned subsidiary of the GOP. If you have it in your mind that they offer anything different, you will be sadly disappointed.

The difference between the Tea Party movement and the Republican Party establishment is that the Tea Party movement has always been individuals who advocate principles, wish to restore accountability to DC and seek no direct personal gain from their political activities.

They therefore cannot be bought-off with promises of special treatment.

The Republican Party, on the other hand, is a political entity that exists to, through whatever means available, get their candidates elected, and this for the sole purpose of building the Republican brand.

It is Republicans who must promise one thing to one group and the opposite to another in order to compete with Democrats who excel in this practice and claim a greater share of low-information voters.

In contrast, the Tea Party movement doesn't seek to compromise on principle or misrepresent their intentions because they don't seek a turn looting the federal treasury and they don't want special laws made to accommodate niche interests.

Furthermore, they don't seek to manipulate low-information voters hoping instead to educate, reason with and persuade these individuals to join them in holding elected officials accountable to the people they represent.

Their genuineness is what makes the Tea Party movement so dangerous to both parties and the reason Democrats like Pelosi have gone to such great lengths to attempt to brand Tea Party participants as "astroturf".

Well, I'm the Tea Party.

No one ever offered to provide my transportation to Tea Party events.

No one ever handed me a prefabricated mass produced protest sign.

No one told me what to say, where to stand, what to wear, what to think, who to like, who to dislike or what issues I care about.

We are most definitely real and that is a problem for people who have made their fortunes pimping the system.

So, the tea party in America stands for:

•Free Market Economics
•Fiscal Responsibility

Which of these is extreme?

It's a shame the tea party isn't actually for any of those things.

Well you may not have, since it became illegal in 1964.

Most Tea Party Groups are for the above Thread mentioned goals.
Less Gov. Fair Taxes and the adherence to the US Constitution.

There is distrust from every corner in this country.

The American Public should embrace the Principles of the Tea Party and More importantly the guide lines from the writers of the US Constitution. The Federist Papers are good examples of what should be monitored by the overage citizen.

We all know what supper majority results are from past years. The Tea Party Ideal brings the super majority into check.

If the people who support the Tea Party proclaim that they are who are you to say otherwise? You, like many of your liberal friends simply can't comprehend the fact that the Tea Party is not a single entity nor is it a political party.

You forgot to mention you're pro-gravitation and pro-sunlight.

These are absurd claims as everybody in America is for:

•Constitutionally Limited Government/Personal Freedom and Your Rights
•Free Market Economics
•Fiscal Responsibility

I could sign my name under this "program" with clear conciense.
The problem is don't explain who gave an authority to determine how limited, based on the constitution, the government should be or what does fiscal responsibility means. As far as support for free market economics you don't come across as party of subject matter experts so will not even try to understand what you concept of free market economy is: child labor? Monopolies? Abolishing SEC and FTC?

As any populist movement you tend to avoid details instead focusing on catchy phrases that anyone could identify with.
