Thankfully Obama can use his executive orders to end this gridlock. Otherwise, we’d be mired in our obsolete, obviously outdated constitution, drafted by and for a bunch of old, irrelevant dead white men. I mean, who would you rather guide our country, geniuses like President Obama and Harry Reid, or Thomas Jefferson and James Madison?
"Geniuses"?
All they have done is contribute to the gridlock by refusing to even consider any idea but their own misguided ideas.
As for discarding this "obviously outdated constitution", such a statement tells everyone exactly what camp you are in. It gets in the way of Obama becoming a totalitarian despot and limiting his attempts to become king.
In other words, I would support almost anyone but Obama.
Your argument was that what he proposed was against our beliefs even though a large portion of the Constitutional convention actually agreed with Barack Obama.
Instead of simply attacking the man, maybe next time you will do some research before posting.
And yet the constitution was adopted in its present form.
So when HE gets in power....all of a sudden the checks and balances are "mistakes" that hinder his ability to "lead" without restriction.
And the crazy part is that there are still people who loyally (blindly) continue to support (worship) this pathetic little man child.
President Obama is taking a swipe at the Founding Fathers, blaming his inability to move his agenda on the "disadvantage" of having each state represented equally in the Senate.
Lol... Yes, he's such a tyrant because he's done... um... well.... uh...
Yeah - grow up right-wingers. He's not a great president - believe me - but he's not the "tyrant" or "anti-christ" or some other scary thing you wish he was. He's just another politician - deal with it.
But, hey - if you want to prattle about quotes, check out your hero, Dubya:

The fact that we can add amendments to the Constitution, and the fact that we actually added 27 means the Founding Fathers realized that 1787 was not going to be the same as 2014.
How exactly do you attack a president for doing exactly what the Constitution allows ?
No it isnt. Its called the Connecticut Compromise.
If he had said "lets get rid of the Legislature", then it would be about separation of powers.
Dear God, this is like the 4th post in a row where someone has gotten something factually wrong. Whats going on in this forum ????
Quit posting and less "factually wrong" information will appear. Facts are not what you deem them to be but rather actual truths and facts, no matter how you try to twist them.

Perhaps it is you who needs to do some research.
No it wasnt, again we have added 27 amendments to the Constitution, one of them specifically about the Senate.
Again, what you just posted is actually wrong, the fact that the Constitution has changed 27 times. isnt something you even have to google, its common knowledge and one of the few things every single child learns in school.
But yes, continue to roll your eyes while being wrong.
1. There are 27 Amendments to the Constitution , one of them being a change to the way the Senate was selected/elected.
So obviously people have rethought it more than once.
2. President Barack Obama was reelected in 2012...hmmm, that seems like after 2010.
3. I couldnt care less what you think of me, especially considering you called the President of this great nation an American hater for agreeing with 2 Previous presidents.
The fact that you believe the present system works has nothing to do with your post. You were calling him unamerican because of your lack of knowledge of your own nations history.
Or perhaps because of his statements and actions?
I could care less what you think of him as he goes about an agenda that harms this nation.

FACT: We have 27 Amendments to the Constitution, there for it was not "adopted as it appears to day "
FACT: the 17th Amendment changes the way the Senators in the Upper Chamber of Congress are selected, so the plan that is at the center of this debate has even changed since it was originally adopted.
Are you telling me neither of those is true ? Ill wait for a response.
