What our self-perceived constitutional scholar – who is actually an unpublished (re constitution) career teaching assistant – thinks of as “structural difficulties” are what used to be quaintly known as “separation of powers”.

My guess is Obama missed class the day in law school when they taught law.

No it isnt. Its called the Connecticut Compromise.

If he had said "lets get rid of the Legislature", then it would be about separation of powers.

Dear God, this is like the 4th post in a row where someone has gotten something factually wrong. Whats going on in this forum ????

It's amazing what can offend these guys.

Obama states that a republican state that has 1.5% of the population of a democratic state, and that equal representation in the senate is a disadvantage to the democratic state.

You'd a thought he said George Washington had wooden teeth or something.

Obama allowed some Americans to keep their existing health insurance for one more year. Where does he presume to derive the power to grant dispensation from the enforcement of duly enacted laws? ObamaCare was enacted by the Legislative branch, not Obama. He had no power to amend it – Obama’s misunderstanding of his powers is about what you’d expect from an affirmative-action “constitutional law scholar.”

Up until now, Obama’s allies in the press have let his wholesale violations of law per “executive order” go uncommented on. That may be changing, as Democrats awaken to the power grab going on here. Hell, even Howard Dean has questioned the legality of Obama’s actions.

"Obviously, the nature of the Senate means that California has the same number of Senate seats as Wyoming. That puts us at a disadvantage,” Mr. Obama said.

I wonder if Obama realizes Texas, a large republican state, only has 2 senators, too?

Instead of simply attacking the man, maybe next time you will do some research before posting.
Why does it matter whom agrees with whom? It doesn't. There were hundreds of proposals put forth during the framing of the Constitution, Bill of Rights etc. Does that mean we should all walk around wondering what might have been had those proposals passed? Absolutely not. What matters is that we have a system in place that is unique, and it WORKS. It defies logic to even express regret towards that system when you're the leader of the country. In fact, he's only expressing regret because he can't get anything he wants. In fact, the people have told him "NO" since 2010. That's how the system was set up by men much smarter than Barack Obama, and that's what he really hates.

He's a petty, frivolous man-child. He's a worthless pile of dung.

Trust me when I say that no one on this forum is surprised that you are slobbering over him again. None of us.

1. There are 27 Amendments to the Constitution , one of them being a change to the way the Senate was selected/elected.

So obviously people have rethought it more than once.

2. President Barack Obama was reelected in 2012...hmmm, that seems like after 2010.

3. I couldnt care less what you think of me, especially considering you called the President of this great nation an American hater for agreeing with 2 Previous presidents.

The fact that you believe the present system works has nothing to do with your post. You were calling him unamerican because of your lack of knowledge of your own nations history.

Barack Obama is worthless in every conceivable way. Pure, unadulterated scum of the Earth. And now, one might even surmise America Hater, too.
Especially, since Obama fails to realize that his party has controlled the Senate for entirety of his presidency and that the northeast is filled with tiny (area-wise) blue states that actually give a slight advantage to the Democrats. Obama is being a whiner that can't look at a bigger picture.

I guess the fact that the House Of Representatives is based on POPULATION, as a hedge against the Senate is also irrelevant?
Montana has only ONE House member for the entire state! How many does New York have? (27) How about California? (53)

See
How many Representatives per State?
for more.
