This is obviously controversial. But I'm just wondering - from your perspective, does it ever cross your mind that Obama is like the ultimate leader of the world right now? That when he speaks, he is the world's ultimate voice of strength and unification - almost like a Godfather figure?
No, I don't feel he, or any American president speaks for all of us. He still had America's interests at heart first - or at least is supposed to.
Agreed. No doubt any US president is going to be one of the most influential people on earth, However it's almost always the USA they are speaking for.

I never got that feeling. Americans have never thought of presidents in that way. But it's certainly expected that the president have America's interests primarily at heart, even if America's "enlightened self-interest" includes providing other nations with a chance to achieve their interests as well.
But my honest belief is that Obama as much as all American presidents except Teddy Roosevelt is primarily protecting the interests of Big Business.
No.
Putin and Xi Jinping are leaders in their regions.
And I will difficult agree if someone from the Arab countries recognise Obama as a leader.
In Latin America, despite of the 'bolivarian' countries, Obama is very popular.
I think it is hilarious that anyone thinks he is the leader of the world. He is doing a very poor job "leading" the United States and there are plenty who are not so sure he is on the side of the US of A.
