To eradicate white hard working Americans? That's my feeling.
Why would the media WANT to eradicate anyone? There is nothing in eradication for them at all. Nothing.
This is crazy thought.
What is there in eradication the media would want?
Power? nope. the media is already powerful. Money? they already are swimming in money. Social standing? they already have it in piles. Influence? they have that too, in great steaming heaps.
What does eradication even mean? Are you saying white hard working Americans will all be killed? That's a violently ridiculous fantasy. So please define what you think 'eradication' is in your mind.
*They* need us to be divided and at eachother's throats instead of watching them. Also it allows the media to avoid having to report on the latest clusterf--k from the most incompetent leader in recorded history.
Actually, the leader you describe was no longer president as of early 2009.
To answer the OP's question - "if it bleeds, it leads."
Trouble sells. Conflict sells. Misery, pain, war, famine, death - they all sell.
Because our president is not white, racism naturally flares up, particularly in parts of the nation that haven't quite figured out that the Civil War ended over 100 years ago and "those people" aren't going back to the plantation. So, the bigots rant and rave, and the media is able to use that to make money. Different media outlets have different target audiences - some appear more supporting of the president, while others oppose him - but it is all about the money. And getting peopled riled up about race issues is easier than it's been in a long time AND sells well, so it's the latest thing.
Assuming our next president is white, you'll see the focus on racism be replaced with something else. If our next president is female, sexism may be the next thing. If our next president has some other ethnicity in his background, that may become a big thing, and so on.
1. Divide he nation into groups, sex, religion and race.
2. Tell us how great government programs are and controls. Cameras getting the bad guy, or (example) putting micro chips in credit cards so you can find them when stolen. :-) This is important and all part of the its OK to be tracked propaganda because to sell this to the American people you have to make it look like a consumer product
true story, we had a black city commissony, that wanted one of his buddy appointed to a board. he was turn down twice, the guy really had a bad record. so this city comm started hollowing racism, to get the other white comm to vote. the white comm finally cave in. I guess a page from the liberal playbook works
From the Donald Sterling incident to the current Justin Bieber mess.
What exactly is the goal of American media?
The "media" reports on events which come to its attention. The "media" in the USA is little different than the media in other parts of the world ... probably a bit more tame. Why are comments which it's suggest illustrate racist feelings/sentiments of persons making them? Because making such statements/expressing such beliefs ... has, for most of us, been determined to be unacceptable. Each of us has the opportunity to inform ourselves, and form our own opinions on these matters. I prefer a free press than one which operates under the heavy hand of censorship. If someone doesn't like reporting of those issues, or if listening to criticism of racism upsets one of us ... then we have the opportunity to turn-off the television or put-down the newspaper or log-off forums such as this.

Unless you don't like Obama, then liberal media will attack with a vengeance. How dare anyone not slobber and not light alter candles in praise of "the one"?
