We can was waste $110,000,000,000 a year on the cost and burdens of illegal immigration but stand in the way of prove way and means of securing a border that would cost a one time cost of $60,000,000,000?
I am on a fixed income and I am not getting any younger. I really appreciate it that I can hire illegals to tend to my landscaping at a price I can afford. I say, let them come in.
Is the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives doing anything about this? And why isn't Gov. Rick Perry making noise about it? It's not just Democrats who are soft on border enforcement. Both major parties are afraid of losing Hispanic voters.
I'd love to see a wall go up. And I think most Americans would as well. But the political will is not there.
Arizona had nothing to do with it. Obama did. It's contracted by Homeland Security. The focus of illegal immigration has shifted to Texas. I suppose they asked for it as they all but greet them with a welcoming band there. It hasn't seemed to hurt their economy all that much either.

Obama has essentially ended the immigration laws -- at least for the very most impoverished Central Americans who are now flooding over the border --- thousands every day.
He's promised that none will be deported, he's promising them big government aid, all kinds of social programs.

Most of these coming over now are children, pregnant women and women with infants and young children. They have absolutely no intention of working. Child labor is illegal here -- and these women couldn't begin to afford day care costs here -- so they won't be working even if they did want to work.
These people are coming for the easy life -- they'll never need to worry about doing any kind of work. Government will be providing everything for them.
