"The immediate goal is to make sure there are more people on private insurance plans. I mean, people have access to health care in America, after all, you just go to an emergency room."

---George Bush

"if you like not having a doctor, you can keep liking not having a doctor. And if you like being uninsured, you can keep liking being uninsured." --Republicans

Obama lied. Agreed. He is a politician. The sad part is, he wont be the last politician to lie either.

Now are you going to respond to the below statement?

Face it, if Obama had implemented a law that just had tort reform and selling across state lines, they would still oppose that law. The party of obstruction

Obama lied when he was running for re-election. If Obamacare was such a damn great deal why did he feel the need to lie? He didnt want people to know the truth until it was too late. It effected me negatively yet I'm supposed to just SHUT UP and pay everyone else's bill.

They should get insurance but I'm sick of paying for everything they get.

Actually I always thought he was created in a test tube in George Soros' basement. But the muslim russian leftist angle? Hadn't thought of that. You just might be on to something there...........

He's a Muslim atheist Kenyan crony capitalist fascist socialist who is responsible for all bad things that ever happened in the world. I'm pretty sure that the snake in the Adam and eve story was really Obama too.

The discussion about health care in this thread is a perfect example of why the Republicans can't get anything done. It's easier to complain and criticize the ideas of others than it is to come up with your own solutions. Conservatives complain about the ACA. The ACA is not perfect, but it is working for a lot more people than the old system was. When asked what they would do to improve the program (because going back to what we had before is not going to work for many people, myself included) they complain about having to come up with their own ideas.

That is exactly why there is no Republican alternative. They staked everything on a gamble that the ACA would fail or they would be able to overturn it, and they lost. Now they have a bunch of nebulous proposals they can pick and choose from when asked what they would put in place, but they never actually move forward on any of them. Because that would mean taking a stand that would subject them to outside criticism and horrific infighting from the hardliners they've welcomed into their own party.

In regards to the spirit of this thread...

I went to the bakery yesterday and they were out of my favorite cinnamon bagels.

Thanks Obama!

Since you recognize that the ACA isn't perfect, where is the Democrat plan to fix it?

I love how you demand that Republicans have an alternative to the shlt sandwich that is the ACA, but demand nothing from the fools that passed it.

Let me guess, you voted for Obama twice.
