I'm not assuming anything, it's mentioned in the email conversation between Lerner and IT.

Besides the fact they leaving the user to archive material on a single drive is about the most ridiculous practice I have ever heard, she is supposed to have a hard copy, yes?

Yes, she was suppose to make hard copies of those emails considered government records when removing them from the email servers. As I have posted several times the IRS manual documented the procedures to be followed when an employees email box filled up.

I have been in IT long enough to know not to rely too heavily on descriptions of an issue at that level of communication. Often it is simplified to terms the end user would understand. That is why I wrote that you would really need to talk to the specialists who actually worked on the drive to get the actual technical details of the failure.

You are so right and it should be a massive wake up call for all citizens.

And I know enough to understand ALL that data does not just disappear like that without catastrophic physical damage or someone purposely wiping it.

Obviously the left does not understand that the IRS can be used against American citizens even when they did nothing wrong. It looks like they did use the IRS against the citizens in helping to get Obama re-elected. This issue makes me distrust government more.

Agreed. And they can cover it up with extremely obvious lies and not be held accountable which ultimately means that they are not accountable to citizens and that is a very dangerous thing.

CNN on ‘lost’ Lois Lerner IRS emails: ‘Do you believe in the Easter Bunny?’

Uh-oh, once again CNN is having trouble swallowing the official administration story regarding the investigation into one of its many, many, many ongoing scandals. This time, it’s the Lois Lerner IRS emails, and their supposed “loss” due to a corrupt hard drive.

CNN turning on the Obama administration? They're doing it kicking and screaming but he's not helping them.
