Where ever there isn't an HOA so I can work and collect my cars.

I usually get pegged as a libertarian socialist on those political tests.

I'm a city guy. Have to live in the city. I've only lived in the country once for a short duration.

When I lived in Pittsburgh I would grill on my fire escape. That's a country cookout!

I live in rural NE GA on 10 acres and I'm a "liberal", I say in quotes because I don't like to be put in a box. I take each issue and candidate one at a time.

But your location also reads "stuck in NE GA right now" which indicates to me you're trying to escape.

Look, I think everyone wishes they could have walkability. Walkability is more convenient. None of these things reflect a personality-type associated with either end of the political spectrum.

Where liberals and conservatives differ is how they see society. I think conservatives think poorly of society, and simply see it as nothing more than a necessary evil. They would gladly trade some inconvenience to just be "left alone".

I think liberals are more likely to see society more positively. Even when they disagree with society as it is, they have more hope for its future.

I think this dynamic is why you normally become more conservative as you get older. In your youth, you start out idealistic and hopeful. Then as time goes by, you become more and more pessimistic of basically everything and everyone. Instead of trying to control everyone to make everything better, you just accept things for what they are, and just make the best of what you can actually control.

Only if you fail to not plan ahead and rural is walkable if you want to go out in the woods. I've lived in a small town that was "walkable" and an area now with the huge lawn and access to the woods. I love the town I grew up in but would of rather grown up here mostly because of the immediate access to the woods.

My cousin had an ideal situation, back in the 70's his parents bought some property from this farm that was divided up, these were all private undeveloped lots. Many other new families did the same thing. There was a generation of kids all around the same ages all along 1 or 2 mile strip of road and until this day they still have a special bond.

My cousin once lived outside of Waterville, Maine and the nearest store was 10 minutes away. And the AM radio stations go off air at dusk.

I'd rather live somewhere urban than a sprawling suburban hell, but would rather live as a recluse on the edge of a vast wilderness or a horse farm than in the city.
